Why Wear Luxury Perfume

By: Bill Weston

Have you ever considered splashing out on some luxury perfume? Whether it's for a business meeting or big family event, sometimes a special fragrance is required to make that special impression. It might not be in the same league as an exotic holiday or a new car, but a new perfume can fill you with excitement and joy.

Perfume is a good thing to invest in, as you can wear it every day and it says a lot about you. Luxury perfumes tend to come packaged in attractive bottles which can often become collectibles. They look great on a dressing table and really add a touch of class to a home.

What makes perfumes so expensive? It's usually a combination of ingredient and packaging. The best perfumes often use rare ingredients which come at a high price. They're often unavailable in high quantities or at certain times of the year. Limited availability of particular lines of perfume also means higher prices for customers.

It's important to wear a fragrance which you like and which represents you. Many people fail to realise that scent can play as much a part in making a good first impression as any outfit or anecdote. Your aroma will live on long after you part company, and each time somebody remembers your face, your voice or your outfit, they will inevitably conjure up reminders of your sweet scent.

The problem with aftershave and perfume is that so many people tend to wear the same things. Mass-produced and heavily marketed products fill out shelves, leaving each person with the same aroma. If you really want to stand out and make an impression, consider investing in a perfume which is unique, and something which will make people ask what you are wearing. Luxury, bespoke and vintage fragrances are all available if you want to tread off the beaten track in terms of scents.

Buying perfumes can be tricky. Spraying several strong perfumes onto your wrist, scent cards or into the air will mean that they all mingle together and merge. You won't be able to disntinguish one fragrance from another and could end up taking home something which doesn't fit the bill. If you want to find a perfume for your tastes then consider asking people who wear nice perfume; what they wear and where they get it from. Take the time to learn about the production of perfume and find a luxury perfume which suits you.
