The main disadvantage is that freight trains are bound by railroads. They cannot drive up right to your cargo dock and unload your shipments. Trucks are must more flexible.

Freight planes may seem a little outdated and, in fact, they are. Cargo planes are used mostly during wars or in order to transport military equipment to other countries. Today, products that are being flown to their destination are often transported by means of a special cargo hold in a passenger aircraft.
