VintaSoft Twain .NET SDK v8 released: WPF supported!

VintaSoftTwain.NET SDK is the cutting-edge TWAIN scanning SDK which allows you to control work of flatbed and ADF scanner, web and digital camera and any other TWAIN device from .NET environment.

Two editions of TWAIN .NET SDK available to be licensed: Standard edition or Standard + WPF edition.

Features:

TWAIN specification 1.x / 2.x compatible

Programming environments: .NET Framework 2.0 or higher, WPF 3.5 or higher

This is a fully-managed .NET library to guarantee the fast working in .NET Framework

Acquire images from scanners, web or digital cameras and any other TWAIN device

Data source enumeration and selection

Show modal or modeless the data source user interface (UI)

Control work of Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)

Supports Native, Buffered Memory and Disk File image transfer mode

Set up images acquisition parameters (pixel type, resolution, page size, image layout rectangle, brightness, contrast, etc)

Control advanced capabilities of TWAIN devices (rotation of images, scaling of images, filters of images, paper handling, the patch code detection and etc)

Create predefined session setups for mid- and high-volume scanners

Retrieve an extended image information (barcode, patch code info, ...)

Image processing: despeckle, deskew, border detection, rotation, blank page detection, invert, change brightness and contrast

Save acquired images as BMP, JPEG, PNG, GIF or multipage TIFF files

Save or add acquired images to PDF or PDF/A documents

Save acquired images directly into SQL database

Upload acquired images onto HTTP, HTTPS or FTP server

What's new in version 8.0:

- Pure .NET WPF TWAIN Scanning SDK created.

- Improved algorithm of Memory transfer mode when JPEG or CCITT4 compressed image is transferred.

- Optimized image acquisition algorithm for better compatibility with Kodak, HP, Canon, Plustek scanners.

- Improved despeckle and border removal algorithms.

- Memory usage optimized.

- New demos for WPF created.

- Some major and minor fixes.

You can use this library in your programs written in any programming languages compatible with .NET technology.
