Tina Fey Tickets - Comedian Expecting Second Child

By:

Tina Fey is one of the most recognizable names and faces in entertainment, and yet she somehow manages to be down to earth and relatable to her fans. For the last several years, Fey has starred in the NBC comedy 30 Rock, and the filming of next season of the show could get a little tricky in light of recent news.

Fans of the show shouldn't worry, though, Liz Lemon isn't going anywhere. Instead, she just may be carrying a lot of big purses and stacks of books to cover up Tina Fey's growing belly. Fey announced recently on The Oprah Winfrey Show that she is five months along with her second child. It will be the second child for Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond. They also have a five-year-old daughter named Alice. The show already has practice working around a pregnant star, because Jane Krakowski is due later this month.

The laborious work that goes into releasing a book is often compared to childbirth, which makes it appropriate that Fey's memoir, Bossypants, was released as she announced her second pregnancy. The book is already receiving rave reviews from countless critics, including the toughest at the New York Times. The book tells Fey's backstory as an awkward yet intelligent young woman who grew up to be a comedy legend. Bossypants is sure to draw longtime Fey fans because it also gives an inside look into her life now as a wife and a mother who also happens to run and star in her own show. The book was released on April 5.

One step better than reading about Fey's life, though, is hearing her talk about it live. Fey still manages to book stand-up dates from time to time (although those might cease with a newborn). Fey has a handful of dates in the coming weeks, including stops in cities like Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles and San Francisco. Fans who want to see her live should act fast to reserve Tina Fey tickets, because she remains one of the most popular comedians in the world.

While speaking about her book and pregnancy, Fey also shot down rumors that 30 Rock had an end in sight. The rumors came from comments by fellow star Alec Baldwin to New York Mag. Baldwin said the show would be ending after 2012, and he also predicted that Fey would be moving on to "directing films and writing." According to Entertainment Weekly, Fey not only dismissed the show would be ending, but also predicted that Baldwin would extend his contract and stay with the show. One of them could be joking, but their deadpan delivery leaves that up to interpretation.

Prior to her starring role and writing gig on 30 Rock, Fey performed as a head writer and performer on Saturday Night Live for nearly a decade. She also wrote and starred in the hit film Mean Girls. Her other film credits as an actor include Baby Mama, The Invention of Lying and Date Night.
