When it gets to the end of the month before pay day and you are scraping the bottom of the barrel it is often difficult to entertain yourself without spending lots of money. As soon as you leave the house it is inevitable that money will be spent, and you don't even notice! Therefore, here is a guide to how to make the most out of your nights in with spending little to no money.

-You can rent a lot of movies with your friends and go to the person's house who has the biggest screen! You can have themed evenings for example horror or comedy-to make it even cheaper you could combined all the DVDs that people own so that you don't have to spend any money on renting them.

-If you fancy a night by yourself you could stay in and play online bingo. Bingo is usually free on a Thursday on most sites so this is the ideal night to play. If not, you can play bingo any night for very cheap, you can even get bingo games that cost one pence to play. This does not have to be a solo activity, you can invite your friends round to your house with their laptops and all play together. Bingo is generally known as a very social activity so this would be an ideal situation to play in.

-Staying in and baking can lend for some great fun! You could try and see what you can make with all the ingredients in your cupboard-you may be surprised about what you can come up with. Another option is doing a pot luck with your friends. Everyone has to bring one dish of food and have dinner at someone's house. This can be done very cheap and it is great fun to see the combination of food that you end up with.

-Board games can be a great form of entertainment. It will take you back you your childhood and some games people will never grow out of. Monopoly, Cluedo, twister, all these classics can lead to hours of fun.

-Active games such as Pictionary or Charades can be great activities to spike some healthy competition between your friends. Splitting up into teams and making this a weekly activity can be a great way to encourage cheaper nights in as opposed to going out and spending money on food or drink.

So choose the cheap night in of your preference, or better yet, think of some of your own so you can keep having fun until payday!
