A recent example, Rudy Giuliani was the GOP frontrunner in the presidential campaign. But he executed such an incompetent campaign, antagonized so many people, become such a self parody with his only issue being his flawed view of 911 and was really such an arrogant chump that he lost his frontrunner status, got very few votes in all primaries, lost to Congressman Ron Paul in all of them and finally had to quit. So he didn't do his job and he got canned by the people and by his own backers.

In a similar fashion, when the people are indoctrinated into a certain lifestyle and then find that that lifestyle does not aid their survival they will seek out more optimum ways of living their lives. The moral code our parents had which asserted that one goes to school, you go to college, find employment with a corporation and then retire in 40 years with a retirement program and a gift watch from the company was a moral code, an expectancy, a blueprint which went by the wayside as corporations failed, as colleges turned out vapid graduates to the extent that a high percentage of graduates are functionally illiterate.

Another example losing popularity is that parents would follow the recommendations of their children's teachers and school officials even to the degree of when their children would get false labels (ADHD) and be prescribed mind numbing psychotropic drugs. But now that parents are discovering the consequences of these poisons, including homicidal and suicidal ideation, more and more parents are deciding not to go along with the orders of psych operatives in the school system and we have a major change occurring there.

When failed programs are laid bare then they get overthrown.
Once upon a time in America the people though that the Fed Reserve as part of the federal government and was a good thing that was looking after them and that taxes were just a natural part of life that could not be avoided.
