Taking All Ideas Before Starting A Project

By: Amanda Greene

When looking for a project to start, something to boost efficiency throughout the office, factory or even the home, it's crucial to take a look at all facets of the situation. That's to say, it is very important look at the problem as well as the areas that would be affected by a change in that particular area. Usually making a change, attempting to fix something so that it runs more smoothly or so that it's much more efficient, will affect more than just that part of the process.
There is an upstream and a downstream for each procedure and policy, therefore it is vital that you contemplate each one before randomly making a change. Sometimes you can accidentally make one process more difficult because you change something else, without meaning to do so. It really doesn't take much to change something that you did not mean to, it only takes a tweak or change because everything is so connected and intertwined.
That's why it is crucial to draw out the plans for the change, and its a very good idea to get a 2nd opinion. This is where a lot of people have difficulty in the process, because when it comes down to it, no one wants to ask other people their opinion or their concerns. Maybe it's just human nature, especially if that individual has been tasked with making the change, however they will usually not take others opinions into account.
They feel as though because it is their job to come up with the idea and a way to put into action the adjustments, then they do not have to ask anybody else's opinion. While this is probably true in the strictest sense, it's always a good idea to take into consideration what other people think and how it might affect them. Who knows, if you ask you might get an idea that you did not think of before and you could also acquire a helpful ally in getting the job completed.

No one is as willing to help and eager to help as the individual that feels like their ideas and thoughts made a difference and were actually taken into account before any important changes were put into effect. It is a great way of developing the trust and cooperation of the very people that you will be needing for help and will be in need of their cooperation down the line.
