And when spring comes, holi comes with. Holi is the festival of colours celebrated on the month of March. It is an amazing festival which is meant to welcome the spring and celebrate triumph of 'good' over 'evil'. This brilliant festival bridges social gap and tightens the relationships. It is the day when people hug each other and desire 'Happy Holi'.

For hundreds of years folks India has been celebrated holi. It has so many legends attached to it. This festival of fun, frolic and colour has been linked to the love of Radha and krishna. Through

the whole country, holi celebration happens with great enthusiasm, love, joy and verve. It's the festival of holi which gives so much liberty to people to come up with hidden crazy self.

Nature is in full bounty during spring season and with the nature the excitement of the country men reach its peak during holi. It's the most vibrant of all festival and joy of the people during that time knows no bound. Through the world holi is well known for adulterated and boisterous fun. People of different faith, culture, cast and race mingle together with different colour during that time. People from every nook and corner celebrate holi in India. It is the time when individuals forget all social taboos and indulge themselves in boozing and sweets made by opium. The holi of Mathura and Vrindavan is very much famous all over the world. There celebrations continue for more than a week. Kids, young, old, man and ladies all play with different colour. The spirit of colour result in the place the whole country in trance. Children enjoy throwing the water balloons towards the passersby and with water missiles called pichkaris. Elders in the home make themselves busy using the preparation of tasty dishes gujiya, malpuas, dahi balla, thandai etc.

After these wilder activities, evening is experienced with proper rituals like meeting friends and relatives, exchanging gifts and offerring wishes. People who love this festival enjoy each and every moment to the extreme.
