Start by looking for picture books. There are many different picture books that tell the stories of the scriptures to ensure that children are learning the scripture stories while still staying interested in the activity.

These can also be a great tool to teach your child how to read. When they are familiar with the stories and the pictures they may start to be familiar with the words on the page and have an easier time recognizing letters and sounds.

While you are reading with your child you should be sure that you are excited about what you are reading. Take the time to understand how you are going to dedicate time each day to reading scriptures, even when it is inconvenient for you.

As you are attempting to read scriptures in your home you should make sure that every child is getting some exposure to the scriptures. This can be difficult when you have a wide age range of children in your home.

You should be sure that you understand how you can appeal to the different age ranges as you read the scriptures. Taking the time to look for the increasing levels of reading with the scriptures will be beneficial for your whole family.

Establishing the habit of reading scriptures with your family on a daily basis can be a great way to teach your children basic principles from the scriptures. Although it is important to read every day you should also make sure that there are other habits that you are cultivating as well.

Praying is a great way to help your child understand the power of the deity that you believe in. You want to make sure that you sit with your child on a consistent basis and teach them how to speak to your God.

Although you may feel this way, many studies have shown that children benefit from being a part of a religious community. There are a lot of people that do not take advantage of this situation and because of that, they suffer.

When a child is part of a religious community they will receive cultural, social and human capital. These forms of capital can be gained in other areas of a child's life but religion is a great way to gain these beneficial forms of capital.

As your child participates in a religious community he or she will be able to get to know many adults in the community. This tie to many different adults will greatly benefit your child as he or she is applying to colleges and working throughout high school.

You want to make sure that you understand how to give your child all of the opportunities within religion that you can. A religious organization can also help a child solidify his or her beliefs in the religion.

Incorporating religion in your child's daily life is a great way to help them become a part of your religious community. Taking the time to understand how you are going to be successful teaching your child is important.

Plan for your children now so that when they come you will be well prepare. It is possible to teach your child religious principles at a young age.
