In today's public school system, students at each grade level are expected to reach common academic goals at specific times. But not every child can master new skills at the same rate, which can lead to frustration and poor school performance. With math games for first graders, you can help your child tackle concepts that he or she might otherwise find confusing.

Working With a Child's Learning Style

Though the traditional classroom environment has worked well for most children over the years, there are still many who struggle with the setup. In first grade, kids are still getting used to spending the majority of the day in school, and not all of them will find it easy to adapt to learning new ideas from books, worksheets and chalkboard-based lessons. In fact, some children find it easier to learn in a more audio-visual way, especially when it comes to challenging subjects like math.
