Half Price Books- Great Holiday Gift Idea

Many online book stores are currently offering half price books, which is a great Holiday gift idea. Reading a good book helps us all escape the crazy world around us. Books are for all ages, and they never go out of style. You do not have to worry about size or color because books fit all. Children love books, Mom and Dad love books (Dad probably would prefer a certain magazine, if you know what I mean), and there are books available on audio books for those who have some trouble seeing the print. The shapes and sizes of books will fit for anyone on your shopping list.
Half price books will also make great secrete Santa gifts for someone at work. They can be for male or female and again they fit all. I don't know of anyone who does not have a favorite author or style of books that they like, such as mystery, romance, horror, and comedy and action adventure. Books make great stocking stuffers and won't rot the kid's teeth. Many teens are getting back into the joy of reading. Being in front of a computer all day is becoming an area where the teens feel they also need some time away from the screens.
Personally, I know my kids used to love to read children's stories before bed, and now that they are preteens all they want to do is talk on the phone with their friends and surf the net. They love Harry Potter, but they prefer to just see the film. Now I've made a family activity out of reading together and then seeing the film adaptation together. It's something we can all do together and enjoy, plus I know they are doing something of value.

Classic books and children's books are always big time hits for gift giving. But don't think that half price books are only for gifts to others, make sure you pick out a few for yourself as well. Wrap them up and place them under the tree, with no name of who they are from, and when you get those gifts that you want to return right away, you will know that there is something there that you really want. Gifts for you is a way to keep the joy of the Holiday flowing. The Holiday is the time for gift giving, and don't forget receiving, and half price books are available in many places from book stores to online book stores. If you are not sure on the type of book to get someone, ask if there are gift cards available. Have a Happy Holiday.
