Extraordinary Faith + Deliberate Action = Superb Achievement

By: June McHardy

An acquaintance recently shared with me that he had just launched a new venture and desired some suggestions. He is on a limited fixed income and has maxed out his charge cards to set up his business, but right now he has no clientele.
He is simply stating affirmations that he has already become a success and is without any debt. He is asking whether he should pay his bills when they arrive, even though the dollars aren't in his account yet. He decides that these concrete actions would prove his faith.
My Answer: Faith is splendid - and is very indispensable. There are, however, circumstances when faith on it's own just isn't sufficient.
I cautioned him that he ought to pay more attention to the realities instead of faith by itself and concentrate on mastering how to provide a service that is considered necessary by other people. (Note the emphasis is on what "they" need.) He must remember that although faith is a very important constituent to manifesting, the other part of the process is purposeful action.
Paying for expenses with rubber checks is not faith. It's called desperation. When you're concerned about how you're going to pay the bills - or what you're going to eat - or how to keep a roof over your head, your mental outlook is not favorable to creating anything good, let alone bring you a profitable business.
We all have to bear in mind that all faith needs that extra special ingredient. If you're in an airliner and it's spinning nose down, you'll first pull on your parachute - THEN you can say your affirmations.
There's a remark in the bible "Faith without works is dead", It means precisely that. Belief needs to be inherently joined with action. Purposeful action. If it's not, then it's not truly faith, it's only an attempt to trick yourself.
Many people imagine that they can pray with only faith, and they will avoid having to make choices or take specific actions. Nope! That's not the way it works. Actions and faith must be united together as a synergistic whole and work together. Neither one works productively without the other.
Accordingly, while Positivity is wonderful and absolutely required, ultra powerful positive action is the other corresponding ingredient. Putting it simply, you'll never pray yourself up a hill without a bit of action.
When you're unquestionably ready to take action, with no more excuses, then the whole world moves too. You'll start to observe the coincidences, and the fluky meetings with just the right person to help you move forward. Things will start taking place with amazing regularity. But it first took the action from you to set all that possibility into motion. ACTION. If this is not done it's just wishful thinking.
Some people might call that activity by a different name. In some cases it might be called exhilaration, In others it might purely be hard, hard work. It's all tenacity to do what it takes.. But it sure keeps the pot boiling.
In some cases the only way to progress is to take a detour on the way to your desired goals. It's not a "wrong turn." It's just yet another way of getting where you're planning to go - clearly a necessary one. No matter what it takes.
Just don't step aside from your dreams whenever life disillusions you. The important thing is your destination - not the pathway you take to get you there.
Don't let impulsiveness derail you on the way to your goal. Impatience has eliminated so many dreams because you believe it has to materialize NOW. It may be right around the corner. All you could very well have to do is only take a few extra steps - or wait around for a few more days ...
It may possibly help to think of your idea of the future as a majestic mountain. If we could make a straight course to the top, that would be super. What generally happens however, is that we end up going on offshoots with lots of twists and turns on the way up the mountain. As long as we continue to look toward the mountain peak however, we will continue to climb - up -up and at last we WILL reach our goal.
This may appear a bit tired, but it's a fact, after all. I'm living proof as I journeyed through life. I've had many extraordinary "faith" episodes over the years and yes, occasionally I even considered that faith alone just MIGHT work, but by and large, my most triumphant experiences with faith have been shared with hard work.
The simple truth is, it's all part of the unknowable experience called FAITH.
