Whether one desires to buy or rent condos, one needs to remember than when living so close to others, one often does not have the same privacy or respect as those who own flats or homes. As such, before agreeing to a monthly rental rate, or signing a sales contract, one needs to consider such factors. For, once one has signed a lease or an agreement to buy such a unit, one can often not obtain a refund.

As such, many individuals often buy or move into such rental units, then decide after experiencing such lack of privacy oneself that such living is just not their style. However, most often, individuals who do so, also lose a great deal of money when reselling such unit in a short amount of time. So, unless one is sure that one enjoys sharing life with others on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis, one may want to be cautious about buying such homes.

However, for those who do enjoy communal living in a thriving atmosphere, then such living is often considered the best for such type people. Although, one may also want to check out the unit in detail, ask neighbors about sound issues and note how conveniently the building is located to grocery stores, schools and post office as well as other necessities such as clinics, hospitals and retirement home when such are a necessary part of life.

In addition, as those living in condominiums often do not have to tend a yard, or pay for such yard work, at times one can save a great deal of money when owning a condo over a traditional single family home with a yard. For, while everyone wants to have a beautiful yard, often such beauty does not come cheap. As such, if one lacks a green thumb, such communal building living can also provide a stress-free existence when it comes to such landscaping needs.

Although, just because one does not have to tend to such landscaping does not mean that one can not have a garden either inside or on a courtyard where possible. For, while one may not have the ability to tend to landscaping on a large piece of property, tending gardens planted in small areas or pots can often provide a great deal of comfort, exercise and routine for those who love gardening. As such, just because one can no longer care for large pieces of land when it comes to such landscaping, one does not have to give up smaller gardens, whether such gardens are maintained indoors or out.

Also, if one is an older individual looking for a condo style retirement home, one may want to look in a variety of areas. For, while there are such retirement living opportunities, such are often rare, or at the very least have a long waiting list. So, if one is retiring or has relatives retiring who are looking for such homes, one may want to consider doing a Nationwide search.

Of course, whether buying a multi-million dollar condo, or renting one, one also needs to know whether or not parking is provided. For, if one has an automobile and such parking is not included, one may have a tough time finding parking on a regular basis, especially in a big city such as Boston, New York or even, Austin. As such, if one plans on living in such a building which does not provide parking, one may also want to consider leasing or renting a parking space by the week, month or year in the area.

To this end, while living in condos can often be enjoyable and stress-free, unless one gets along well with others and does not mind listening to noises day and night, then one may want to avoid such style of living. However, if one enjoys mingling with others, or needs a safe place to retire, many condo buildings can often supply a unit to fit such needs. Of course, if one is looking to stay in such place as a retirement home, then one may want to locate a condo building which focuses on caring for such individuals.
