Celebrate The New Arrival With Baby Presents

By: Bill Weston

What do you buy for a new born baby? At this special time, it's not necessarily just parents who you might want to buy a gift for. Even though babies might not play in the same way that older children do, there are toys and other products available which can give them a great start in life.

At this stage in life little people are just getting a feel for their senses and baby toys will often exploit multiple senses including sight, touch and sounds. Noises and movement appeal to babies, as well as bright colours and items which are soft to touch. Teddy bears are always popular baby presents and can prove to be enjoyed by children for years and years.

Safe, unbreakable baby mirrors help kids to identify their own reflection, while wind chimes or mobiles might keep them entertained in their first years, with moving shapes and dappled noises. Slow and gentle movements and noises could also help them to fall off to sleep.
You could also consider gifting entertainment to babies, including specially-designed music CDs which can help to soothe babies and help them off to sleep. There are also lots of great videos and DVDs which feature intriguing characters which babies will love to watch.

There's baby cream, oil, bubble bath or shampoo and so much more. There are loads of products available which caring new parents would love to apply to their kids. There's even classy baby food available so mum and dad can treat the little one to fine, smooth cuisine.

Of course there are always essentials which every new baby will need, including nappies, wipes, prams and child seats. Prams come in many different shapes and sizes, with single, double and triple prams available in a variety of arrangements. Alternatively you could help parents take their baby with them by gifting them a strap which helps to carry the baby on their back or front. This is a great way of allowing a baby to travel at the same height as mum and dad, with regular reassuring glances.

Several smaller gifts can be packaged into a baby hamper to help make the gift unique. Fill a wicker basket or decorated box with baby gifts including functional and attractive items. This could include nappies, soft toys, food and even gift vouchers. Gift vouchers are arguably one of the best presents for a new mum as she can spend it on the things she really needs.
