Beginner Obedience Training Guidelines For Dogs

Does it frustrate you when your dog jumps on people when you have visitors, or when you take your dog along on visits with friends? Can't understand why your dog runs away from you at the park while everyone else's happily comes back? The easy solution is have you actually taken your dog to obedience training? It is easy, highly effective and can be fun to do if you have a great attitude.
The basic dog training commands that you'll learn are sit, stay and come. The initial training commands will be the most useful to you and your dog. It would be embarrassing to have you dog run while out for a walk, better to have him behave himself. If you truly work hard with your pet and give him your attention, reassurance, and praise, dog training can be successfully attained in a one or two short months.
Many dog training and obedience classes are widely available. If you worry that you cannot train your dog properly on your own, you can always turn to obedience classes for support and assistance with other dogs and owners. Part of the training process for your dog includes the basic steps of sit, stay, come and socialization goals are also included within training. In many ways, dogs are much like young children in a fur suit: they need gentle guidance to be taught what is right and what is wrong.
Treats work well for obedience training, when the dog does something good it is rewarded. There is no point shouting at your dog as he will only become scared of you and you don't want that, you want to form a happy relationship with him because dog's are a man's best friend!
You want to make sure that your dog is able to stay focused on you during a training session, so try to keep him away from distractions like his favorite chew toy or crowds of people. Tell your dog in a firm but warm voice to "sit," and then put your hand on his backside and push it lightly down to the ground; once he's seated, you reward him with a pet treat and congratulate him by saying, "good boy!" When you train your dog using treats and repeating the commands, eventually he will understand basic commands like "sit" and "stay" and will not need positive reinforcement through food to obey.
It may be another to get him to stay, you may require another person.
Get him to sit (upon learning how) and get the assistance of a friend to help with him. When you walk way from your dog and want him to stay hold your hand firmly up in the air (doing this will make him realize that when you hold your hand up in the future you want him to stay as well, not just when you tell him to) then give it a couple of seconds and allow your buddy to release him, when he approaches you ensure you command him to sit and let him know that he is very smart!
