A Night-Out In Different Types Of Restaurants

By:

People eat in restaurants for one reason or another. Oftentimes, it is to celebrate a special occasion. In some instances, they eat because they have no time to cook at that time and the restaurant is the option. Whatever is your reason, before you go out and eat in this eatery, you have to know the different kinds of dining places in the area. This will let you decide if the venue is appropriate for your night-out. Are you going out on a casual dinner or you want fine dining?

Different dining places offer varied kinds of foods. There are restos that are indeed specialty places with special cuisine and menu. But the big difference is the price ranges of each of these. Generally, there are 3 main kinds of restaurants. These are the quick service type, casual dining and fine dining.

The quick service is actually what we use to know as the fast food. Here, the foods are already prepared or at least can be prepared in a few minutes of waiting time. The usual procedure here is you form a queue, order your meal and pay at the counter or cashier. You take the food with you to your chosen place or a waiter serves it to you. These places are more congested. The prices are cheaper. But, there usually is only a limited choice of food. Other form of this quick service dining place is the cafeteria.

There are quick service places that also cater to different gourmet foods - not the usual fries and fried chicken. There are also places that serve specialty foods such as Mexican, Filipino, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and American.

These restaurants have basic tables and chairs and in many establishments, you are required to clear your table after eating. You will have to throw you trash in the ready bins. You eat fast and leave soon as you are finished.

The second type is the casual dining. This is a bridge between the quick service and fine dining. In these places, foods are usually better - in taste and presentation. The price ranges from the affordable to slightly above the average. The ambiance is better, some good tables, chairs and tableware. There is more privacy in every area. You do not eat hurriedly and there are fewer customers.

When you go to a fine dining eating place, you expect a better quality of food and service. Of the three, this is the most expensive. You have better-dressed waiters and crew. Your table setting is more formal. Your dining experiences in these venues are totally different. You eat with all your needs attended to by the waiters. You can take your time eating, savoring the good foods.

Most fine dining restaurants require pre-arranged reservations. When you arrive at the place, you will be ushered to your reserved seat. You will definitely not be queued. But you have to take note of the time indicated in your reservation. Here, you are treated with great respect and you will surely feel important. This is the reason why many business conferences and meetings are held in these kinds of places.

Now that you have distinguished the different kinds of dining places, where do you wish to spend your night-out? If you have the budget, why not dress-up and enjoy a night of wine and good food in a fine dining place? If you have limited budget and all you need is to fill your empty stomach, then your dining for the night out can be in a fast food or quick service diner.
